27 per cent reservation for OBCs in higher learning !!

IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) and IIMs (Indian Institute of Management) are the premier higher learning institutions in India. IIT is basically for Engineering Technology and IIM is for Management. Inorder to get an B.Tech admission in IIT, one has pass the grueling "JEE" (Joint Enterance Examination, conducted across India) is the toughest enterance exam in the world. To get an idea about IIT, put MIT, Harvard and Princeton together and you come to know the status of IIT.

Ministry of HRD (Human Resourse Development) under the present Indian goverment (ruling congress party headed by Prime Minsiter Dr. Manmohan Singh), decided to Implement 27 % reservation quota for OBC (other backward caste) from next year onwards to all central universities includes IITs and IIMs. These universites are getting financial grant from the central (federal) government. With 27 % increase to the existing quota, which takes the total of whopping 49.5%. which means other castes (In India basically education system is based on the stupid caste system) candidate (rememeber the population in India , 1+ Billion) has to fight for the remaining quota!!.

I strongly against this move, which is basically bad to the country. I cannot understand why this stupid congress want to implement the quota in higher education? I strongly suggest who ever wants to get in to the premier institution should purely based on merit. You know what this will going to happen in future? Think about a below average candiate (just scored mere pass marks in his graduation), just because he / she is OBC and got admission to these elite institute which not fair compared to an outstanding candiate who can't secure an adminsion to the institute because of this fucking caste system? Think about the outcome of the below average candidate who (if at all ) graduated from these elite institute, will be the same below average joe.

I request everybody to strongly oppose this stupid quota system.

Hello Congress please wakeup!!

Lotus fires back at Microsoft's Notes rhetoric

John Fontana, Lotus has no intent to back off its stated commitment to provide backward compatibility for all Notes applications regardless of reports to the contrary this week from longtime rival Microsoft.

Can Microsoft comes up with a clean product for Collabration Platform to compete with Lotus Notes / Domino??? I doubt it.

IBM In Trouble??

Robert X. Cringely sees IBM as a disaster-in-the-making.In the article discussing Google's future opportunities, IBM is a disaster-in-the-making. Big Blue as a total enterprise is running primarily on customer inertia and clever advertising, which definitely isn't enough.

Bob's comments goes further like,

Of course they have their Power5 and Cell processors, AIX and DB2, but IBM's customers are now all in big business, which doesn't touch my readers or the PC market very much. And IBM is in trouble. I have lots of friends at IBM and none of them are happy. The company is not going anywhere, but it is also going nowhere, if you know what I mean.

Somebody from IBM can Justify this??

Gaining Weight

In past few weeks I gained lot of weight, due to lack of exercise and more watching the NBA playoffs. Last evening I decided to hit the gym, I felt myself encouraging after an hour on the treadmill (burned 800 cals.) and lifted weights for 30 mins.
My goal is to reach my 145 lbs( a year back I was) from 160 lbs
